Our dogs will arrive scared, broken, angry, and confused. They will have been on death row due to their aggression problems. We are going to offer the proper training to redeeming these dogs' character back to friendly, loving, playful dogs. Once they complete their training, they will carefully be paired with a Veteran suffering from PTSD. We are certain our dogs will help strengthen their new companions' mental health so they may both go on to living a righteous life
Our sanctuary will provide a righteous life for all the horses we rescue. Here they will have a proper diet, exercise routine, and medical evaluation schedule. Our horses will have beautiful pastures to roam around and graze on each and every day. We guarantee our horses will be overwhelmed with the best care a retired horse could receive. They will also be used for equine therapy servicing Veterans, special needs, or anyone needing the comfort of these majestic animals
Our horses are going to offer comfort and connection to people in need of a righteous life full of inner peace. It is scientifically proven that equine therapy reduces anxiety, depression, blood pressure and heart rate through physiological changes. Studies show that animal-assisted therapy reduces cortisol, the stress hormone. Our horses will produce positive results for the Veterans, special needs, and anyone seeking inner peace, and overall improved health
We offer trail rides to teach people of all ages about how to live a righteous life in nature. While experiencing the agility, speed, and athleticism of our horses, we will also teach our riders information on the local land. We will provide education on the various floral and fauna of the region, environmentally sound farming and growing practices on the ranch, the wildlife in the area, and how to stay safe while in nature (from wild animals, poisonous snakes, poisonous plants etc.)
The overnight retreats are offered to veterans with PTSD and autistic folks. Cabins are provided to veterans and children with autism will have the opportunity to stay in our Indian village to create an unforgettable experience for all. Each setting will come with one of our domesticated horses. We will teach the occupants of each setting basic care for their horse while they stay on the ranch. Each occupant will be responsible to feed the horse, brush the horse, pick its feet, walk the horse, and ensure the horse has plenty of water throughout each day. We are certain our rustic setting and our animals will help set people up to live a righteous life.
The Mustang Program is designed to help veterans with PTSD. Uniting the two has proven to build the bond that saves both lives. The Mustangs develop PTSD when they are captured and detained in holding cells. Because they are wild and not used to such confinement and restrictions, they develop extreme anxiety, fear, and hostility. There are currently 80,000 Mustangs in captivity that need to be rehomed. The Righteous Life Rescue Ranch aims to adopt many of these wild Mustangs. We will break and train them to be wonderful trail horses, so they may be donated for free to veterans suffering from PTSD. We are extremely confident our Mustang program is going to save the lives of both the Mustangs and the veterans, and to help them to go on living righteous lives together.
