Sig is the first mustang rescue for the Righteous Life Rescue Ranch. He was rounded up on the Navajo Reservation and rescued before reaching the slaughter pipeline. Despite only being in captivity for less than a month, this boy is already beginning to trust people. He has found his forever home with Josh Warren, a marine veteran in Kentucky.

Occasionally, the RLRR teams with our for-profit business, Camp K-9 to find homes for pet dogs. When we have extra space, we take in rescue dogs that need training to increase their chances of finding a home. Below are the dogs that found their forever homes. If you are interested in adopting a rescue dog without the hassle of training, please contact us for available dogs.
Luna stayed with us during Hurricane Helene after her owner's home was destroyed. She found her forever family with two young kids to spoil her.
Zeus also came to us during Hurricane Helene. He spent the first 6 months of his life in a crate with little time outside. He now lives the high life with his very active family and enjoys regular hikes.
We originally adopted Zane as a service dog prospect for our program, but his personality was not the best fit. Zane was adopted by an incredible couple and is living his best life in Charlotte.
We rehomed Ruger to a woman who had just lost her beloved service dog. Ruger completed his obedience training with us and has been continuing his work with his handler to shape into her support dog.
Harper found us after wandering onto a neighboring property. We posted about a lost dog, but no owner ever came forward. She has now been rehomed with our farrier, Chris. Harper has a large pasture to roam and has two big Pyrenees sisters to show her the ropes to protecting their livestock.
UPDATE: After lots of thought, it has been decided that Major has found his forever home at the Righteous Life Rescue Ranch. Matt and Major have developed a special bond, so Major will now be serving as Matt's personal service dog.
Major was the first dog to be enrolled in the RLRR service dog training program. He is a 3-year old long-haired German Shepherd. Major found himself in a local humane society after biting a 16-year old girl. He was full of unchanneled energy and zero discipline when he first arrived at the ranch.
Major has now been living with us for the last 9 months and his transformation is astounding. He learned how to channel his energy into his role as a service dog. Now, Major is handled completely off leash to ensure he can perform all tasks for his handler. He is trained to go everywhere with his handler from grocery stores to hiking to relaxing at home.
Most importantly, Major has been trained to identify signs of depression commonly seen in veterans suffering with PTSD. The last part of Major's training will be tailoring him to his specific person's triggers. If you, or a veteran you know, could benefit from a dog like Major, please get in touch with us to determine if he would be the right fit.
